Cleanliness is extremely important when it comes to waiting rooms and lobbies. You do not want someone to sit down in one of your reception room chairs and have a plume of dust spiral into the air. You do not want a sticky film to cover the length of a coffee table from people's bottles of water or soda because there were no coasters or someone spilled a little soda and it was never cleaned up. This unintentionally mars your image as a professional.

So make sure to keep your furniture extremely clean at all times. There are powdered cleansers that you can sprinkle on chair padding and couches that only take a moment to vacuum off and will serve to freshen upholstery. Use wood or metal cleaners for your coffee tables. Dust coat racks so that someone's coat does not end up a different color by the time they leave your office.

Not only will cleanliness in your waiting room keep your clients or patients happy, but it will create a better environment for your employees. It will also save you money in the long run because you will not have to replace your furniture as often.
